The trip was long but there was a lot to see and the conversations we had were great.
At times boredom set in but we found ways to entertain ourselves.
Things move a little slower in Montana
The first thing I noticed was how peaceful it was. Here we were, at noon, in the middle of the week and no one was around. We could actually hear the sounds of nature and the animals. I also found myself paying attention to things I would have just breezed by in the cities, things like mailboxes.
The Fist Hike: Avalanche Lake
This was our first hike which wasn't going to be as long so we figured it would be perfect for breaking in my new hiking boots.
Fortunately no one got eaten.
Before we got back to the car we stopped and skipped a few rocks.
Back at the Cabin
At the end of the night we relaxed and caught up with each other.
Yes, we even broke out the karaoke machine.
